Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta uncooked
For the Sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb sausages sliced, Cajun-flavored
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta in a medium saucepan according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausages and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the sauce.
  2. Reduce the heat to low, add the grated parmesan cheese, and stir until melted and the sauce is creamy.
  3. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add more Cajun seasoning. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
