Salsa
  • 2 cups red or green salsa homemade preferred
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup crema or sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • fried or scrambled eggs for serving

Method
 

  1. Heat the salsa in a skillet over medium heat until warm.
  2. Add the tortilla chips to the skillet, tossing gently to coat them in the salsa.
  3. Let the chips simmer in the salsa for 2-3 minutes, ensuring they soften slightly but remain crisp.
  4. Remove from heat and top with cheese, crema, onions, and cilantro.
  5. Serve immediately with fried or scrambled eggs on the side.

Notes

For added protein, top with shredded chicken or beans. Adjust salsa quantity based on your desired texture.
