  • 4 cups tortilla chips homemade or store-bought

Salsa

  • 2 cups red or green salsa homemade preferred

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup crema or sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • fried or scrambled eggs for serving

Instructions
 

  • Heat the salsa in a skillet over medium heat until warm.
  • Add the tortilla chips to the skillet, tossing gently to coat them in the salsa.
  • Let the chips simmer in the salsa for 2-3 minutes, ensuring they soften slightly but remain crisp.
  • Remove from heat and top with cheese, crema, onions, and cilantro.
  • Serve immediately with fried or scrambled eggs on the side.

Notes

For added protein, top with shredded chicken or beans. Adjust salsa quantity based on your desired texture.
