Method
- Combine all listed ingredients in a high-speed blender. This includes the unsweetened almond milk, chocolate protein powder, natural peanut butter, sliced frozen banana, unsweetened cocoa powder, ice cubes, and the optional vanilla extract and sea salt.
- Blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds, or until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy. Ensure there are no chunks of banana or ice remaining. If the smoothie is too thick, add an additional splash (1-2 tablespoons) of almond milk until desired consistency is reached. If it's too thin, add a few more ice cubes or a small piece of frozen banana.
- Pour the prepared Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie into a tall glass and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
For an extra indulgent treat, drizzle a little melted chocolate or sprinkle some mini chocolate chips on top before serving. To boost the nutritional value, consider adding 1 tablespoon of chia seeds or ground flax seeds to the blender. If you don't have a frozen banana, a regular banana can be used, but you may need to increase the amount of ice cubes to about 3/4 cup for the desired thickness and chill.
