Method
- Melt unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Once the butter is melted, add the Frank's RedHot Original Hot Sauce, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt to the saucepan.
- Whisk all ingredients together thoroughly until well combined and smooth.
- Increase the heat to medium-low and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, whisking occasionally. Ensure it does not come to a rolling boil.
- Let the sauce simmer gently for 5-7 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly and the flavors to meld. The sauce should coat the back of a spoon.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. The Buffalo Wing Sauce is ready to use immediately for tossing with crispy wings or serving as a dipping sauce.
Notes
Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Reheat gently over low heat, whisking until smooth, or in the microwave. This sauce is excellent on chicken wings, chicken tenders, or even as a dip for vegetables.
