Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 cup Frank's RedHot Original Hot Sauce
  • 1 tbsp White Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Melt unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add the Frank's RedHot Original Hot Sauce, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt to the saucepan.
  3. Whisk all ingredients together thoroughly until well combined and smooth.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-low and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, whisking occasionally. Ensure it does not come to a rolling boil.
  5. Let the sauce simmer gently for 5-7 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly and the flavors to meld. The sauce should coat the back of a spoon.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat. The Buffalo Wing Sauce is ready to use immediately for tossing with crispy wings or serving as a dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Reheat gently over low heat, whisking until smooth, or in the microwave. This sauce is excellent on chicken wings, chicken tenders, or even as a dip for vegetables.
