Ingredients

For the Pizza
  • 1 lb Pizza Dough store-bought or homemade, pre-made
  • 1.5 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded
For the Crab Rangoon Topping
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 8 oz Imitation Crab Meat finely flaked or chopped
  • 3 tbsp Green Onions sliced, divided (2 tbsp for filling, 1 tbsp for garnish)
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
For the Crispy Wonton Strips & Drizzle (Optional)
  • 6-8 Wonton Wrappers cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil for frying wontons, or cooking spray for air fryer
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Chili Sauce

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Pizza Pan or Baking Sheet
  • Spatula
  • Small Saucepan or Air Fryer
  • Parchment Paper

Method

Prepare the Wonton Strips (Optional)
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C). Fry wonton strips in small batches until golden brown and crispy, about 30-60 seconds. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray wonton strips with cooking spray. Air fry for 3-5 minutes, shaking basket halfway, until golden and crispy.
Prepare the Crab Rangoon Topping
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, finely flaked imitation crab meat, 2 tablespoons of sliced green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined and smooth.
Assemble the Pizza
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  2. On a lightly floured surface or parchment paper, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness and shape (approximately 12-14 inches in diameter). Transfer to a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  3. Evenly spread the crab rangoon filling over the pizza dough, leaving about a 1/2-inch border for the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the crab rangoon filling.
Bake the Pizza
  1. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Finish and Serve
  1. Carefully remove the pizza from the oven. Garnish with the remaining 1 tablespoon of fresh green onions and the prepared crispy wonton strips.
  2. If desired, drizzle sweet chili sauce over the pizza before slicing. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, you can add a pinch of ginger powder to the crab rangoon filling. Real crab meat can be used instead of imitation crab for a richer flavor; ensure it's well-drained. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for best results to maintain crispiness.
