Ingredients

  • 1 large banana frozen, sliced
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter creamy or crunchy
  • 1 cup milk almond milk or dairy milk of choice
  • 1 tsp maple syrup optional, or honey for sweetness
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 small ice cubes optional, for extra thickness/coldness

Equipment

  • Blender

Method

  1. Combine the frozen banana slices, peanut butter, milk, maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract in your blender.
  2. Add 2-3 small ice cubes if you prefer a thicker or colder smoothie.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula once or twice to ensure all ingredients are incorporated.
  4. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

For a thicker smoothie, add more frozen banana or a few extra ice cubes. For a thinner consistency, add a splash more milk until desired texture is reached. You can also add a scoop of protein powder for an added boost!
