Prepare the Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, finely minced yellow onion, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned ground beef mixture and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until fully browned and no pink remains, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease thoroughly and set aside to cool slightly.
Assemble the Bombs
- Unroll the can of refrigerated crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into 8 triangles.
- Place a small spoonful (about 1-2 tablespoons) of the cooled cooked beef mixture in the center of each crescent dough triangle. Top the beef with two quartered pieces of American cheese.
- Carefully pull the corners and edges of the crescent dough up and over the filling, pinching the seams tightly to seal the bomb completely. Ensure there are no gaps where the cheese can escape during cooking. Roll gently in your hands to form a round ball.
Prepare Garlic Parmesan Butter & Cook
- In a small bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly brush each cheeseburger bomb generously with the garlic Parmesan butter mixture. Place the bombs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded (you may need to cook in batches depending on your air fryer size). Air fry for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway if necessary.
- If using an oven, preheat to 375°F (190°C). Place the assembled bombs on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Lightly brush each cheeseburger bomb generously with the garlic Parmesan butter mixture. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs from the air fryer/oven. If desired, garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or a special burger sauce.
Notes
To prevent the cheese from leaking, make sure to thoroughly pinch and seal the dough seams. These bombs are best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer or oven until warmed through.
