- Add the chopped carrots, frozen banana, almond milk, orange juice (if using), cinnamon, ginger (if using), and maple syrup to a high-speed blender.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula as needed to ensure all ingredients are incorporated.
- If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more almond milk (1-2 tablespoons at a time) and blend again until desired consistency is reached. If you prefer it colder or thicker, add the ice cubes and blend until smooth.
- Pour immediately into two glasses and serve.
Notes
For an extra boost of nutrition, add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds or flax seeds. You can also add a scoop of vanilla protein powder for a more filling meal replacement. To make this smoothie ahead, prepare all ingredients and store them in the fridge overnight (except ice), then blend in the morning. Best served fresh.
