Prepare the Components
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven during preheating. Lightly grease a large baking sheet with olive oil or cooking spray if not using a stone.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the crumbled breakfast sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon, until fully browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease and set the sausage aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, 2 tablespoons milk, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper until well combined. Melt butter in the same skillet (or a clean one) over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and scramble until just set but still moist. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In another small bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup milk, garlic powder, onion powder (if using), 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper until smooth and creamy. This will be your pizza base sauce.
Assemble the Pizza
- On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a 12-14 inch circle. Carefully transfer the dough to your prepared baking sheet or a piece of parchment paper if using a pizza stone. Brush the edges of the dough with 1 teaspoon of olive oil for a crispier crust.
- Spread the creamy base mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle about half of the shredded cheese over the cream cheese base.
- Evenly distribute the cooked scrambled eggs over the cheese layer. Then, scatter the cooked breakfast sausage crumbles over the eggs.
- Top the pizza with the remaining shredded cheese.
Bake and Serve
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. If using a pizza stone, slide the pizza directly onto the hot stone.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for 2-3 minutes before slicing. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired.
- Slice into 8 pieces and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious homemade sausage breakfast pizza!
