Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients. Ensure your mango is frozen; if using fresh mango, peel, chop, and freeze it for at least 4 hours (or overnight) for the ideal thick and cold smoothie texture.
Blend the Smoothie
- Add the frozen mango chunks, milk, Greek yogurt (if using), freshly squeezed lime juice, and your chosen sweetener (if using) to your high-speed blender.
- Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, without any chunks of mango remaining. This typically takes 1-2 minutes.
- If the smoothie is too thick to blend or to your liking, add an extra splash of milk (1-2 tablespoons at a time) and blend again until the desired consistency is achieved. If you prefer it even colder or thicker, add the optional ice cubes and blend until smooth.
Serve and Enjoy
- Pour the luscious mango smoothie into two serving glasses. Serve immediately and savor the tropical bliss!
Notes
For a thicker smoothie, reduce the milk or add more frozen mango/ice. For a thinner smoothie, add more milk. You can also add a pinch of turmeric for extra color and health benefits, or a small piece of fresh ginger for a zesty kick. Store any leftover smoothie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, though it's best enjoyed fresh.
