- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish.
- Prepare the bell peppers by cutting off the tops and removing the seeds. Set them in the baking dish.
- Cook the bacon in a frying pan until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
- In the same pan, cook the ground beef with onions and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft.
- Stir in BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
- Remove from heat and stir in the crumbled bacon, bread crumbs, and shredded cheese.
- Stuff each pepper with the filling, pressing down slightly to pack it in.
- Top each stuffed pepper with extra shredded cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For softer peppers, parboil them for 3-5 minutes before stuffing. Try using different cheeses for unique flavors!
