Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish.
Prepare the bell peppers by cutting off the tops and removing the seeds. Set them in the baking dish.
Cook the bacon in a frying pan until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
In the same pan, cook the ground beef with onions and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add the chopped mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft.
Stir in BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
Remove from heat and stir in the crumbled bacon, bread crumbs, and shredded cheese.
Stuff each pepper with the filling, pressing down slightly to pack it in.
Top each stuffed pepper with extra shredded cheese.
Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted.
Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For softer peppers, parboil them for 3-5 minutes before stuffing. Try using different cheeses for unique flavors!
