Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using an air fryer, preheat it to 375°F (190°C). If using an oven, line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and non-stick baking.
- Place the naan bread pieces on the prepared baking sheet (for oven) or directly into the air fryer basket (if using an air fryer; you may need to cook one at a time depending on size). Lightly brush the edges of each naan with olive oil. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder over the oiled edges for extra flavor.
Assemble & Cook
- Evenly spread half of the pizza sauce over each naan, leaving a small border around the edges to form a crust. Distribute half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce on each naan.
- For Oven Baking: Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the naan crust is golden brown and slightly crispy. Cooking times may vary, so keep an eye on them.
- For Air Frying: Air fry for 5-8 minutes, checking frequently. The cheese should be melted and bubbly, and the naan should be crispy. If cooking one at a time, repeat the process for the second naan.
Serve
- Carefully remove the Naan pizzas from the oven or air fryer. Immediately garnish with fresh basil leaves and a pinch of red pepper flakes, if you like a little heat. Slice into wedges and serve hot.
Notes
Feel free to customize your Naan pizza with your favorite toppings! Common additions include sliced pepperoni, cooked sausage, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, or olives. For a richer flavor, consider grilling the naan lightly before adding toppings. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated in an air fryer or oven for best results.
