Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups frozen mango chunks ensure they are fully frozen for best texture
  • 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk canned, unsweetened, well-shaken
  • 1/4 cup water or coconut water add more if needed for desired consistency
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice for brightness and balance
  • 1-2 tsp agave nectar or maple syrup optional, adjust to taste based on mango sweetness
  • Small Pinch sea salt enhances flavors (optional)

Equipment

  • Blender

Method

  1. Add the frozen mango chunks, full-fat coconut milk, water (or coconut water), fresh lime juice, optional agave nectar (or maple syrup), and optional pinch of sea salt to a high-speed blender.
  2. Secure the lid and blend on high speed, starting slowly and increasing as needed. Use the tamper if your blender has one, to push ingredients down towards the blades until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add an additional tablespoon of water or coconut water at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  3. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if desired by adding more agave nectar. Pour into two glasses and serve immediately. Garnish with a slice of lime or a sprinkle of shredded coconut, if desired.

Notes

For an extra protein boost, add 1 scoop of your favorite vanilla or unflavored protein powder. If you don't have frozen mango, use fresh mango and add 1/2 cup of ice cubes to achieve a cold, thick consistency. Leftover smoothie can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, though it's best enjoyed fresh.
