  • 1.5 lbs Ground Beef 85/15 lean to fat ratio recommended
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper freshly ground
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
For Assembly & Toppings
  • 12 Slider Buns Hawaiian rolls work great
  • 8 slices Bacon cooked and crumbled or cut in half
  • 6 slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese or Colby Jack
  • 3/4 cup BBQ Sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 cup Crispy Fried Onions
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds optional, for topping

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Pastry brush

Method

Prepare Ingredients
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, but reserve about 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease in the skillet.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to overmix. Form the mixture into 12 small, evenly-sized patties, slightly larger than your slider buns.
Cook the Sliders
  1. Heat the reserved bacon grease in the skillet over medium-high heat. Add the slider patties and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a piece of cheddar cheese to melt.
  2. While the patties cook, slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half of the buns on a baking sheet.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Once the patties are cooked, place one cheeseburger patty on each slider bottom. Top each patty with a generous dollop of BBQ sauce, a sprinkle of the cooked bacon, and a layer of crispy fried onions.
  2. Place the top half of the slider buns over the fillings. Brush the tops of the buns with the melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using.
  3. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the buns are lightly toasted and the cheese is bubbly. Let them cool for a minute before slicing into individual sliders and serving immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a thinly sliced jalapeño to each slider before baking. You can prepare the patties ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. These sliders are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat in the oven or air fryer.
