Prepare Ingredients
- Ensure your dandelion greens are thoroughly washed. For best results and less bitterness, use young, tender dandelion leaves. Core and roughly chop your apple.
- Peel the ginger piece (if using) and have all other ingredients measured and ready.
Blend Smoothie
- Add the washed dandelion greens, chopped apple, frozen banana, almond milk, fresh lemon juice, and ginger (if using) to your high-speed blender.
- If desired, add maple syrup or your preferred sweetener and ice cubes.
- Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more almond milk or water until it reaches your desired consistency. If it's too thin, add a few more ice cubes or a bit more frozen banana.

Notes
For less bitterness, blanching dandelion greens for a minute in boiling water before adding to the smoothie can help, but you'll lose some nutrients. For a thicker, colder smoothie, ensure your banana is well-frozen and use ice cubes.
